My passion is to help students appreciate themselves, fulfill their potential while minimizing stress, and help them feel capable and confident.
I bring three key areas of expertise to my work:
1.
1. I have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s in Education and for 25+ years have been helping people understand themselves, feel better, and perform at their peak.
I have also worked as a licensed psychologist in both solo and group practice with children, teens, and adults. In my work in the Department of Psychiatry, Cambridge Hospital, Harvard Medical School, I specialized in the treatment of stress and anxiety-related disorders.
2.
I have been practicing pediatric neuropsychology since 2004 and I have a deep understanding of brain-based behaviors, such as the executive functions, attention, and learning disorders.
I have expertise in assessing core areas of competency and identifying “best practice” plans to leverage students’ strengths and improve areas of vulnerability.
I often partner with families over many years in the life of their children. This continuity of care is a hallmark of my work.
I also work with teachers and teaching teams to build awareness and implement plans that are individualized and effective.
3.
My work as a neuropsychologist is greatly impacted by my work as a therapist. As a practitioner of mindfulness-based stress reduction and other self-care strategies, I bring a very calm and caring attitude to my relationships.
I strive for peacefulness in my own life and enjoy imparting this to my clients through my evaluations and day-to-day interactions.
